The Private Pilot’s Licence requires study in 7 aviation associated subjects. These are;1.Air Law 2.Meteorology 3.Navigation 4.Aircraft Technical 5. Aircraft performance and loading. 6. Human Performance 7. Communications, and as an adjunct to this is The Radio Telephony (“R/T”) Licence.

RT Cabins

Each of these subjects requires a multi-choice written examination, and the R/T Licence requires a practical test.

The study is normally completed during the flying course, various stages of the flying being complimented by a ground subject.

We offer all examinations at our school, and also have the facility and an examiner to complete the R/T test.

Study is not difficult, and we offer for sale all the standard text books and more, in our comprehensive aviation shop (see shop page).

We have 2 very experienced ground instructors, who can offer anything from a full course, “a helping hand crammer-course”, or a quick brush up, before sitting the CAA examination.

The ground school is charged at £15 per hour, or priced by the course.
